These are good times
We often think of photography as a way to freeze our highest, happiest peaks—the sparkling engagement rings, the grand wedding exits, or the milestone birthdays. And yes, those moments are beautiful. But if my years behind the lens have taught me anything, it’s that the truly priceless photos—the ones that will make your chest ache with gratitude in twenty years—are the ones that capture the raw, tender, and deeply human chapters of our lives.
I am here to capture it all. The joyous beginnings, the quiet middles, and even the bittersweet goodbyes.
I had a session that reminded me exactly why I pick up my camera every single day. I was photographing a beautiful family, their wonderful mother, and a very special member of their clan—their beloved Husky.
He was nearing the end of his earthly journey, carrying the beautiful weight of a lifetime of loyalty, late-night comfort, and shared adventures. You could feel the profound love this family held for him in every single interaction. It was a day filled with an overwhelming sense of preciousness, where every second felt heavy with meaning.
There was a moment during the session that perfectly encapsulated the heart of this family. The sweet old guy was getting tired, and moving around the park was becoming difficult for him. Without a second thought, the dad drove the truck right up into the park, navigating it as close as possible just to save the dog’s energy and keep him comfortable. I did not get a picture but it stayed in my heart.
These were not posed moments just love. It wasn't "picture-perfect" in the traditional sense. But it was absolutely beautiful. It was a testament to the lengths we go for the ones we love, and those are the exact moments that deserve to be preserved.
My camera is a witness to the entire spectrum of the human experience.
The Milestones: I’m there for the breathless excitement of engagements, documenting the start of a brand-new chapter.
The Unplanned Wonders: I’ve been lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time to capture a friend’s child taking their very first steps, freezing the split-second awe and pure joy on my friend’s face as they witnessed it.
The Tender Farewells: And I am there for the quiet, sacred days when a family gathers to honor a furry companion who has given them everything.
Life isn't just made up of the polished, perfect highlight reels. It’s made of the good, the messy, the joyful, and the sad. Twenty years from now, you won't just want to remember what you looked like—you'll want to remember how deeply you loved, and how beautifully you were loved in return.
Whatever season you are walking through, I'm here to help you hold onto it forever.
